I would love to start with the winner of the night FABULOUS Kate Winslet in Elie Saab. I adored her perfect and immaculate look; wearing diamond encrusted earrings and a platinum/diamond bracelet by Cartier.

The best dressed of the night Precious Sofia Vergara in Vera Wang; wearing these stunning pair of Chandelier Colombian emerald/gold earrings, to create the perfect look. Out of the box, don’t you think so?

Gwyneth Paltrow wearing white diamonds and black diamonds chain links bracelets by Neil Lane; my favorite is the black one.

What I bought from BVLGARI?

Maybe you are wondering what I have got from BVLGARI after all, how I used my American Express gift card and I will tell you the truth.  First, I went to BVLGARI thinking about the matching earrings for my B.ZERO 1 ring, I tried them and I looked fantastic by the way, “but” I supposed to use it wisely, because what is the point about Cheap and Chic if I am going to spend more than QAR 5000 to use my QAR 500 gift card, then I calmed down and I said I should go for something cheaper like a wallet, or sunglasses, OH NO!  Maybe a scarf will be better, after 1 hour trying everything I saw in the shop; suddenly something came to my mind saying stop being “selfish” and buy something for your lovely husband, OMG he was there waiting for me all this time, saying “Yes you look gorgeous!”

Then I realized that was the perfect way to use my BVLGARI gift card, I went through the ties (all of them were really chic), belts, wallet, cufflinks and finally I found the right present for him THIS!

It was just perfect, this Writing Instrument as BVLGARI calls it; is precious, sophisticated and this accessory will give my adorable husband a touch of style and elegance every day… and of course will make him think of me every time he uses it  “WISE” I think I am “Best wife nominee” not selfish at all J

Looking for a dazzling Abbaya?

Last Sunday 10th of July 2011; The WAADdesigns team celebrated their first fashion show and launched the line of the upcoming designer "Waad". The event took place at Qatar Foundation-recreation centre.

After 3 months of preparation QFashioneers emerged as the name of their first fashion event that brought together all the fashion lovers in Doha. “Affordable Elegance” was the main idea; and I really like this☺; bringing up the theme of the collection “Elegance” with many different cuts and fabrics from French organza to Italian tulle that were used to create divine flowers that only added to the luxury and individuality of the pieces.

WAAD started with the traditional Abbayas and she has expanded upon the request of her very loyal clients to design evening gowns, jackets and blouses.

WAAD thoughts “My aesthetic is very ethereal, I love flowy fabrics and embellishments which I personally add to tailored pieces by hand”

So, talking about  ... Cheap and Chic ... Chic? WAADdesigns are made of unique and luxurious fabrics, just gorgeous! they express style, elegance and softness... and cheap? She thinks that anyone can look amazing without running her monthly budget! I love the way she thinks ☺ she has made her mission to stop overpricing of Abbayas, her prices are very reasonable from QAR 500 to 1000, and her evening custom made gowns from QAR 1000 up to QAR 2500; So, Great news! Looking for exotic and sophisticated Jewelry?

Few weeks ago I had the opportunity to meet Dima Rashid, a lovely person and an amazing Jewelry designer.

Dima Rashid was born in Kuwait, grew up and educated in Canada; currently she has her permanent studio in Cairo and her work and designs has been displayed in Egypt, Dubai, Saudi Arabia, United Kingdom, United States and now in Qatar at Zai store 

Dima’s passion for ethically sourced stones makes her Jewelry beautiful and unique.

Dima’s charismatic personality is a perfect indication of how devoted she is in her work and her designs.

Her latest project has been bringing her sophisticated pieces to Qatar and I am sure will be a great success.

Interview Questions with Dima Rashid:

Where do you find your inspiration?

I find my inspiration for my collections from Ancient Egyptian and Islamic cultures.

How many pieces have you made until today?

This year I reached my 7000 pieces; all the pieces are handmade.

What are some of your favorite materials to work with and create with?

I work with all precious stones (Diamonds, emeralds, sapphire, ruby), rare material I find like fire opal or carved lavender jade, purple jade, coral and gold; always looking for new sources, new material to work with. All hand cut, my stones are 100% natural, never treated before.

Tell us about your collections

Our basic collection is “Classic” all 18-carat gold and we have the seasonal collections (Spring, summer, fall and winter), which got more color (Rubies, emeralds, sapphires, tourmalines or opals) and the couture with the Diamonds.

How all the celebrities knew about you and your jewelry?

Some of them are friends, others just a coincidence like Giselle, they were doing a shoot for the cover of Vogue and she was wearing my earrings and she wanted to own them. That was my fist international cover.

Salma Hayek was visiting in Cairo and she wanted to wear something in emeralds for a long black dress, I brought her the whole set (Earrings, rings, etc.) and she loved them.

Naomi is a friend of Queen Rania, she saw the jewelry few times, and one day a received a call from her office and I made a specific collection for her.

Eva Longoria is a close friend of Vanessa Williams; Vanessa and I are very good friends she is always wearing my jewelry. Eva started to be familiar with the brand 3 years ago when she received her first Dima from Vanessa.


Dima Jewellery is one of PASHION magazine's favorite Jewelry designers!

“4U” is a paradise, the place is excellent, beautiful, clean, and their services are just great! On top of that, their prices are even better! For example, before I used to pay QAR 250 for manicure and pedicure and I wasn’t entirely happy with the quality and in “4U” I pay QAR 120 for the same treatment, Can you believe it? 52% less, every time a go to 4U I just love it! Good products, great atmosphere and the prices are very reasonable, just the perfect combination!

Something very important is that the 4U team really cares about their costumers, if they have special events, new collections, and promotions or just to remind me my appointments, they always call me!  About the special events I want to let you know that they  frequently bring Skincare experts like Carla Tabet who can diagnostic your skin and recommend the right treatment “for free” and the Make-up artists are just amazing, you can try the Make- up and get few tips “for free” and try their samples; their events are open to everybody J
