Do you know what is Anima gallery & lounge?

Anima gallery & lounge, is a concept gallery that targets people in search of artistic inspiration. 

The gallery is linked to an upscale lounge offering its visitors the chance to interact, watch art videos and read art magazines and books. Moreover, the gallery will schedule art and sculpture classes in collaboration with Qatar’s prominent universities and colleges.

The opening ceremony of Anima gallery and lounge will take place today March 24, 2012 when the gallery will open its doors for its opening exhibition “Together We Connect”. 

The exhibition will showcase the works of international artists; Jason Martin, Billy Childish, Tracey Emin, Bernard Frize, Tom Sachs, as well as works by renowned regional artists Hassan Hajjaj, Mohamad-Said Baalbaki ‘Baal’ and Abdulrahman Katanani.  The inaugural exhibition will also feature three pioneering Qatari artists - Yousef Ahmed, Ali Hassan and Amal Al-Aathem.  

Twelve other artists represented by Anima gallery and lounge will also be at the event to talk about future exhibitions. The artists are Charbel Aoun, Emmanuel Guiragussian, Elie Bourgely, Faraj Dham, Jean-Marc Nahas, Jean-Paul Guiragossian, Jehad Al Ameri, Manuella Guiragossian, Mayak, Mohamad Al Amri, Najia Mahadji and Nuno De Matos.

My dear friend Sania invited me over to take a look to her best friend's collections, “Suhara Jewel art”

Suhara is a Malaysian fashion designer who founded her jewelry brand in 2007, formed by artists, designers and Craftsmen who share the same passion for jewelry.

Personally, I love to take a look of the work of others designers, which inspires me, and also makes me learn and grow as a designer. Suhara's collections are very glamorous; I adore them!

Suhara thoughts “Designing and making jewelry is something I have always wanted to do. It gives me so much pleasure to see the pieces I have designed worn by ladies, who later told me what a success the pieces were. My design philosophy is simple – updating nature inspired designs to make them more accessible and wearable in a contemporary setting” Inspiring!

She is a nature lover, and does a lot to preserve the natural environment around her and increase the awareness and importance of it through her designs.

Her designs are more desirable for those who want something unique that reflect their personality.  She uses a lot of unusual silver pieces, pearls, crystal, semi precious stones and mother of pearl sourced from all over the world.

Looking for the best designers in Doha? (Trunk Show)

Well, apparently these last weeks have been all about fashion in Doha! After attending the Vera Wang Charity Fashion show, the VCUQ fashion Show, and Madame fashion Show, On Friday, I attended the Common Thread and Dados spa event “TRUNK SHOW” that presented the best of clothing, painting, jewellery, accessories and much more; the brilliant work of many designers to their distinguished guests.

When I finally reached the place, I was in shock when I saw how stunning is Dados Spa, very well known for its excellent treatments and great deals. I have tell you the design is just amazing Pink everywhere, Girly, Glamurous, Fabulous… I loved the music, the smell, the furniture, the people, the walls, and even the floor is so original; loved it, and loved it!

Wow! I can see Heba wearing Dana Jewelry, a gorgeous Turquoise berry; Fabulous!

I want to thanks Megan & Joanna (Common Thread) and Heba and Hanadi (Dados) for letting us to be part of this great event, and gave us the opportunity to show our ways of art to their special guests. The Trunk Show was a real success; I can't wait for the next one!
